To engage women of all ages in leadership opportunities that will promote social and personal change.

ACT's work will be accomplished by:

Building a bridge for rural women to link up to larger movements
Playing a role as a conduit for women to take these issues to the next level and affect social change (provide local leadership training opportunities)
Keeping the focus at the grassroots level

The Female Leadership Academy (FLA), the signature project of ACT for Women and Girls, is the only local opportunity for young women to sharpen their leadership skills through hands on experience with civic participation and grassroots organizing around issues that matter to them. The FLA is an eight month journey that reshapes lives! Young women graduate with the confidence needed to be agents of change within their communities.

The FLA Alumni Network ensures a supportive sisterhood welcomes our graduates, and keeps them connected and focused on their future goals.

The Teen Success program, a new ACT program, began in October to serve pregnant and parenting teen moms. The moms meet weekly for two hours and discuss important topics related to goal setting, reproductive health, parenting and more!
