ACT for Women and Girls and the Female Leadership Academy (FLA) advocate for women's rights. Through the work done with the FLA each year, a plethora of issues are addressed. Many of the FLA and ACT participants gravitate towards one or two issues that drive their passion to make change. A few of those issues are highlighted here. Activism is an important part of the Female Leadership Academy. Each year participants write editorials, participate in marches and demonstrations, write letters to representatives, lobby representatives locally and in Sacramento, record radio shows discussing women's issues on KFSC-LP 94.1 fm Visalia through the only feminist radio show in Tulare County, "The F Word" and advocate for justice through ACT's annual event, Coming Out For Justice.
